Your bloodwork is done first
Your full lab panel and urinalysis are completed ahead of your appointment. It is a detailed panel, well beyond a routine collection, and having it back in advance means your physician already knows what to look at before you walk in.
You will be asked to fast. Everything else is arranged for you.
What the day covers
Heart
A ten-year cardiac risk assessment, a resting ECG, and an exercise stress test on a treadmill under continuous ECG monitoring. Cardiac testing at this depth is part of every assessment.
Imaging
An abdominal ultrasound covering the liver, kidneys, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, and the blood vessels serving them.
Measurements
Vital signs, height, weight, BMI, waist-to-hip ratio, and body fat percentage.
Vision, hearing, and lungs
Visual acuity, an audiogram, and peak expiratory flow. If anything warrants a closer look, you are referred for full testing.
Skin
A physician screening for suspicious moles and lesions, with dermatology referral if needed.
Mental health
A screening, and the information and resources to act on it.
Movement
Muscular strength, joint mobility, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance, assessed with a kinesiologist.
Nutrition
An assessment with a dietitian who works with people who are on the road and short on time.
Immunizations
A review of where you stand and what is due.
Your physician consultation
A full physical examination with a doctor trained in both emergency and family medicine, then a discussion of your results and what to do about them. Male and female physicians are available.

Physicians, registered nurses, cardiac technicians, medical diagnostic sonographers, registered dietitians, and kinesiologists, all in one building, in one day.

You leave knowing where you stand
Your physician goes through your results with you before you go, explains what they mean, and gives you recommendations you can act on straight away. Anything that needs a referral or follow-up is set in motion that day. A full written report follows.
